Problem-Based Learning
Problem-based learning, or PBL, is a student-centred pedagogy focused on solving an open-ended problem. The New Colombo Plan project provides Curtin University students with an authentic real-world issue that is centred around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to enhance their problem solving capabilities. These goals are the context in which the problem-based learning is going to occur. The Hasso-Plattner model is used as a key resource for this educational program. It is a design-thinking approach that is rooted in developing sustainable transformation processes in business and society.
